National Museum of Scotland

The National Museum of Scotland has a central location in the heart of Edinburgh in the old town area. There are a range of exhibits at the museum and most have Scottish roots. These include Pictish stones, Viking broaches and information on the transformation of the Scottish nation.

There are also special exhibitions which change on a monthly basis, previous exhibitions include Picasso and Pixar. The museum website lists the current and future exhibitions.

There are also interactive sections of the museum which are ideal for children or adults. These include designing a robot, test driving a F1 car and getting to know Dolly the Sheep (the first cloned mammal).
